Privacy Policy

SparDhan ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal finance application developed for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and how.

1. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All financial data you enter is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your Android device and never uploaded to our servers:

Income and expense transactions
Budget limits and spending categories
Financial goals (emergency fund, house, FIRE, custom)
Assets and liabilities
Onboarding preferences (salary, savings rate, currency)
App settings (theme, language, notification preferences)

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data.

2. Internet Access & Third-Party Services

SparDhan uses the internet for the following specific purposes only:

No personal financial data (transactions, balances, goals) is ever sent to any third party. If you use the AI Guru feature, only the text you explicitly type in the chat is sent to Anthropic; your financial records stay on-device.

3. No Account Required

SparDhan does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or log in with any third-party service.

4. Android Permissions

INTERNET — required for exchange rate fetch, AI Guru, and in-app purchases.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — optional, used only for weekly financial coaching reminders.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — reschedules weekly coaching notification after device restart.
No camera, microphone, location, contacts, or storage permissions.

5. In-App Purchases

Subscription and one-time purchases are processed by Google Play Billing and managed through RevenueCat. We do not store or process payment card information. Purchase receipts and subscription status are handled by Google Play and RevenueCat in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy

SparDhan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be published at this URL and noted in the Google Play Store listing. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
